Paraguay has begun exporting carrots to Argentina.
The country marks a milestone in its agricultural production, highlighting local quality and cooperation between producers and authorities.
This week, Paraguay achieved a milestone by exporting 26 tons of carrots to Argentina. Pastor Soria, president of the National Service for Quality and Phytosanitary and Seed Health of Paraguay (Senave), highlighted this achievement as a result of the joint effort between producers and phytosanitary entities.
The shipment departed from María Auxiliadora, heading to Falcón, and will reach Buenos Aires the following day. Soria expressed confidence that the product will be well received in the Argentine market. T
he export was made possible due to the high quality achieved by local producers. The initiative originated in Itapúa, specifically in María Auxiliadora, known as the "carrot capital," which accounts for 90% of national production. Farmers gathered 35 tons and selected the best ones for shipment. Export conditions were defined last week, allowing for the dispatch on Tuesday.
