Germany reduced its purchases of fruit and vegetables

Germany, the main fruit and vegetables importing country of the European Union, reduced its purchases in the first half of 2002. Indeed, German imports felt 4% compared with 2001 to 3,3 million
tons. Idem for the Netherlands, Europe's 3rd importing country,
whose purchases of fruit and vegetables dropped by 17%.
