Plastic bags soon forbidden

According to Ecodis, the distribution of plastic bags by Taiwanese supermarkets, fast food restaurants and other superstores should be forbidden as soon as January 1st, 2003. Movement led by ecologists who fear for the country's future : indeed, plastic would represent 20% of the wastes produced by the island.
