Tesco to increase expansion in Hungary

Tesco is planning a major expansion in Hungary in 2006, with the opening of 25 new stores. The expansion would create around 2,500 new jobs on top of the 2,200 new posts created in 2005. In 2005, Tesco's Hungarian operations posted a 14 percent increase in sales to HUF 473 billion, around EUR 1.8 billion.
