Giant Food to close US warehouse and distribution centres

Giant Food has announced that it intends to streamline its manufacturing and distribution operations. By the end of 2005 Giant has plans to leave three of its manufacturing operations and to close several older warehouses. Giant also intends to sell its warehouse and office complex in Landover, Maryland and to relocate the company's office headquarters in the region.
