New Zealand has secured access to the Korean market for blueberry exports, which will enable the country's producers to generate approximately $5 million annually in exports. This was recently announced by the Minister of Trade and Agriculture, Todd McClay, according to a New Zealand news outlet. The minister described this development as a significant achievement for New Zealand exporters, highlighting that it adds to the successful removal of non-tariff barriers worth $190 million last year. He also emphasized that improving access to international markets is a crucial component of the government's strategy to increase the commercial value of New Zealand's safe and high-quality products, with the goal of doubling the value of exports in the next decade. It's worth noting that last week, Korea established the necessary legal requirements for importing New Zealand blueberries.
