In week 17 the demand for oranges was normal but still lower than arriving from Morocco quantities. This situation pressed the price heavily – it was possible to find some old Moroccan fruits at 0,765 US$/kg level. The upper price limit was on the level 1,13 US$/kg. Egyptian oranges were sold not further than Moscow – from 1,135 US$/kg there.
The first Argentine arrival was expected at the end of the week. So the prices left on the same high level as a week ago – 3,19 US$/kg for Spanish stuff looked as the limit – the volumes of sales went significantly down. Argentine lemons were slightly cheaper and have been sold out immediately upon arrival. Though not all the brands had the same quality price didn’t go down the 2,72 US$/kg level for very little sizes – 150 and 162.
Pakistani Kinnow was still on sale in range 0,51 – 0,64 US$/kg. The upper number was applied even for the good quality stuff. Okitsus from Argentina had, in week 17, the same price as the Moroccan Ortaniques : 1,49 US$/kg. Moscow was looking for Moroccan Afourer variety – prices reached 3,06 US$/kg level.
