WUWM Award goes to Lille

The WUWM gave its prizes at its conference held in Shenzhen, China.
The World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM) has awarded Lille's wholesale maket its first prize.
The prize for gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded at the Conference held in Shenzhen, China. The theme was "Excellence in establishing the link between the market and local producers."
The finalists came from
nine countries. Gold medal winner Lille wholesale market has been in business 40 years and has a turnover of 180 million euros. The market in Lille won gold in recognition of its activities to create value for producers through its ASHA program.
The silver went to Garak Market in Seoul, Korea, and bronze to New Covent Garden in London.
