MSC introduces additional route from Hong Kong to Dallas
Atlas Air, Inc., a subsidiary of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc., declares the recent acquisition of a cutting-edge Boeing 777 Freighter. This aircraft is slated for operation on behalf of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA, aligning with the parameters of a long-term ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance, insurance) agreement, as previously disclosed.
In the progression of this collaboration, this marks the arrival of the third Boeing 777 Freighter out of the agreed-upon four that Atlas Air is committed to deploying for MSC. This strategic move enhances the existing weekly service while introducing an additional route from Hong Kong (HKG) to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). The fourth aircraft is scheduled for delivery later within the current calendar year.
The Boeing 777 Freighter is recognized for its extensive range, efficient twin-engine design, and lower maintenance and operating costs. Boasting a range of 4,970 nautical miles (9,200 km) and a maximum structural payload of 235,900 pounds (107 tonnes), the 777 Freighter aligns with the highest standards, including quota count specifications, ensuring optimal accessibility to noise-sensitive airports across the globe.
