Peruvian fresh ginger exports exceed 58 thousand tons until April

Peruvian exports of fresh ginger from May 2022 to April 2023 reached 58,100 tons, rising +11.7% if compared to the same term of the previous campaign.

According to the consultancy firm Inform@cción, during the first eight months of the 2022/2023 campaign (May-December), there was a decline in shipments, however, in the next four months (January-April) shipments surged. March was the peaking month, with a total of 7,673,914 kilos dispatched.

The primary markets were the United States, the Netherlands, Spain, Canada, Korea, Germany, and the UK, among others.
