This anniversary evening looks back on these 50 years of success with the presentation of the new logo that will accompany the planned expansion for the coming years.
Blue Whale, a group of cooperatives bringing together 300 fruit producers and a major European apple export operator in the world, is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019. On June 20th in Montauban, an anniversary evening was held with President Christophe Belloc and Director Alain Vialaret recalled the beginnings of this collective adventure which begun 50 years ago and presented the ambition of the next 10 years: to double the activity of the company.
Blue Whale was born from the desire of several cooperatives to unite to be stronger. "The success of Blue Whale is above all based on valuing the work of the fruit growers, who are the ones who make the success of our company. In 50 years, we have experienced several crises, overcome by strong presidents, producers united and a constant innovation "explains Alain Vialaret, Director of Blue Whale.
An innovation in orchards, but also in sorting and packaging station and in the creation of new varieties. The goal: to constantly adapt to consumer demand. Bio, zero pesticide residues, protection of biodiversity ... Today Blue Whale is committed to fruit produced with a sense of responsibility and displays new ambitions for the future.
Blue Whale's ambition today is to double its activity in the next 10 years. "We have the capacity to reach it with the help of our producers who invest regularly in their orchard, our fruit stations that innovate as well in their capacity to package as in packaging and in our commercial office" said Christophe Belloc , President of Blue Whale.
This new ambition is accompanied by a new visual identity with a more modern and monochrome logo: the iconic blue whale remains at the center of the brand. It appears more refined, smiling and accompanied by small apple leaves that recall the heart of the business of Blue Whale.
