Pole position for Indian grapes
India's grape exports got off to an early start this year, thanks to the absence of unseasonal rainfall and hailstorms, and have already more than doubled from a year ago. Exporters anticipate record shipments this year, although there are concerns of margins taking a hit if there is a glut in Europe, especially after March.
One of the main exporter of Indian grape will exhibit at Asia Fruit Logistica in Hong-Kong. Kalya Exports has been exporting Table Grapes to UK, Europe Continent since 1993. The facility of Kalya Export is situated in grape cultivation area in Nashik valley which is India’s largest grape growing area, just north of Mumbai and Pune.
Basically Nashik district is known as Agriculture and Horticulture land of India . This is because of good soil structure, ample water, favorable climate for wide range of fruits & vegetable crops. As Nashik is near to Mumbai, so quality production is the main criteria in farming. Kalya Exports is doing its best to select quality growers in Nashik.
Kalya Exports has its own BRC certified Pack-House with pre-cooling and cold storage located on National Highway. Company’s Pack house Area is 13000 sq. ft. which can pack 3 containers daily and accordingly has sufficient Pre-cooling and Cold storage facilities.
