Ahold buys Bruno's supermarkets

Ahold, the Dutch distributor, has announced it will acquire Bruno's supermarkets shares, a prominent food retailer in the South-eastern USA with 184 stores. Ahold runs 8 600 supermarkets and hypermarkets in the USA, Europe, South America and Asia. The group employs 420 000 people in more than 25 countries.
