South Australia: drought funds flagged for heatwave losses

Federal Agriculture Minister Tony Burke says the farmers hardest hit by South Australia's extreme hot weather this month should be eligible for drought relief funding, with virtually every industry in agriculture affected, and substantial losses in fruit, vegetable and wine grape crops because of unseasonal temperatures.
He is urging affected farmers to seek help.
South Australia has already been exceptional circumstances (EC) declared, and farmers in the worst-affected regions are eligible for EC support."
