The Ministry of Transport, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Public Enterprise of railways came together for realize this project which should enable the routing in 5 days to major European cities, at a cost approximately 30 percent less expensive than transport by road.
The first train has already left Manisa to Munich.
This project could solve, in part at least, the logistical problems faced by Turkey, whose trucks have to cross several countries before going in importing countries.
