Apple exports rising

Last year during the same period, only some 1,500 tons were exported. This year, one of the most important apple growing areas, Amasya, stored in a refrigerated warehouses about 30 000 tons, which find buyer in different countries of the Middle East such as Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt and Iran.

The most popular varieties are Golden, Starking and Granny Smith apples
