In the context of current situation that is developing between Ukraine and Russia, the Department of Studies of the National Customs Service of Chile systematized the figures of Chilean foreign trade with both countries, for exports by product, imports by product and participation.
In 2021, Ukraine was positioned as the 72nd importer of Chilean production, with placements of $19,357,719.6, and a 0.02% share.
The main imported products: grapes, wine, preserves and preparations of fish and shellfish, paper and cardboard and its manufactures, salmon and trout.
As for Chilean imports from Ukraine in 2021, there were no agricultural products, however, malt beer, footwear, bodywork, clothing, were imported.
Russia was placed in the 40th position in 2021, with purchases for $198,360,402.9 and a participation of 0.23%. The main import products: grapes, wine, plums, salmon, trout, canned fish and shellfish.
The main products imported from Russia to Chile in 2021 were malt beer, vehicles for the transport of goods, vehicles for the transport of people, coal, and fertilizers.
