Paraguayan persimmon leaves for Europe

This week, the first persimmon truck, produced in the town of Santa María de Fe, department of Misiones, in Paraguay, will leave for Spain and later for other countries of the European Union.
As reported by Matías del Real, in charge of the logistics of the fruit production project in Paraguay for export to Europe, the cargo should arrive in Valencia in approximately 32 days and from there to the supermarkets.
This is a total of 20,000 kilos in a container and the annual goal of 20 containers shipped, with at least 400,000 kilos of the fruit exported to the European market.
Del Real commented that next year the export of Paraguayan persimmon to European markets would reach 2,000,000 kilos.
