The Banana Time international convention celebrates its 20th anniversary this year

The event, which had more than 80 participating companies in the 2022 edition, includes round tables, a trade exhibition with more than 100 stands and a conference-forum with foreign and domestic panellists who will focus on phytosanitary, commercial and social issues.
Organised by AEBE (Asociación de Exportadores de Banano del Ecuador), the Banana Time international convention brings together the most important companies in the banana value chain.
The Banana Time International Convention will be held at the Hilton Colón Hotel in Guayaquil, Ecuador, from 24 to 27 October 2023. This 2023 edition will mark the 20th anniversary of the convention.
The event, which saw more than 80 companies take part in the 2022 edition, includes round tables, a trade exhibition with more than 100 stands and a conference-forum with foreign and national panellists focusing on phytosanitary, commercial and social issues.
AEBE represents over 70% of Ecuador's banana exports and promotes the competitiveness and sustainability of the banana industry.
Ecuador is the world's leading banana exporter. According to AEBE data, in 2022 the country exported 207.56 million cases of bananas, and for 2023 over the period January to July exports reached 220.85 million cases of bananas (already 13.29 million cases of bananas more and +6.40% compared to the whole of 2022).
