Decrease of the small citrus offer in Southern hemisphere

Exports of small citrus fruit in Southern Hemisphere will decrease by at least 10% this season.
Exports are expected to total 366,100 tons or 10% less than the previous season. According to the agency iQonsulting, the largest decreases in export volumes will be recorded by Argentina and Uruguay : - 34% and - 25%.
According to the agency report, the decline was due to water shortage that affected many of orchards in those countries. Argentina will export about 80,000 tons and Uruguay 43,100 tons .
Regarding other countries of the southern hemisphere, the situation is different. South Africa is expected to reach 112 500 tons of exports (+5%), Chile 45 500 tons (+15%), Peru 60 000 tons (+ 2%) and Australia 25 000 tons (+ 9%).
