The fertile soil, the favorable climate and the abundance of water allow Zimbabwe to produce a wide variety of products such as avocados, blueberries, lemons, oranges, clementines, stone fruits as well as peas, sweet corn, snap beans everything, hot peppers. One of the main advantages of products from Zimbabwe is their earliness, they arrive 2 to 3 weeks before South African products.
Zimbabwe traditionally exports to South Africa which often re-exports elsewhere. Zimbabwean professionals want to work directly in exporting and ZimTrade has identified Italy as one of its target markets for export market diversification.
