Mercamadrid expects 200 new companies

Mercamadrid will sell 25% more surface area and expects to bring in about 200 new businesses.
Created in 2008, the expansion of Mercamadrid will represent 25% of additional space for the wholesale market in the Spanish capital.
The new spaces will be sold from in December. The investment amounts to over 300 million euros and the additional area amounts to 453,492 m2. Mercamadrid expects 200 new companies, generating 1400 jobs in new activities: ancillary services (24,628 m2), food (33,200 m2), and a logistics centre (20,029 m2).
Mercamadrid is already home to 800 companies, with 38,000 direct and indirect jobs and serves a market of 12 million people within a radius of 500 kms.
