Stong storms affects prices and delivery of fruit & vegeatables in Central & Eastern Europe
Due to strong storm in the Black sea, citrus prices may greatly increase before New Year holiday in Ukraine.
Bad weather prevents fruit transportation via sea to Ukraine.
The forecast on December 24, predicts waves with height of around 4-6 m, which makes fruit delivery very complicated.
All these factors lead to % price increasing at least during winter holidays period.
New Year’s Day is the holiday which mainly is associated with mandarins. So these fruit will be part of the festive table no matter what the price will be.
Let 2013 New Year’s Day be better than the previous one!
