In the 2004/2005 marketing year, exports of Egyptian oranges increased by 43 percent.
The main markets for Egyptian oranges are other Arabic countries, with Saudi Arabia being the largest importer.
2005/2006 production is expected to be slightly up on 2004 levels, due to an increased number of fruit bearing trees and good weather conditions.
