Price drop for tomatoes in May in Ukraine

Based on the latest data, prices drop for tomatoes has been recently registered within local market of Ukraine. Tomatoes costs have skid down by 40% this week, 20% price decrease has occurred just 1 day before in Ukraine. This fact could be traced to rallied up supply of vegetables produced by Ukrainian farmers, cold weather prevented them from yielding greenhouse tomatoes earlier. This year currency devaluation has significantly affected volumes of imported tomatoes, which consequently neutralized the main competition for local vegetables producers.
