Soaring prices due to weather conditions

Prices of Fruits & Vegetables jumped (from +15 to + 50%) in a few days.

Some parts of India are experiencing disastrous weather conditions. High winds, hail storms or continuous rains for days have damaged crops and disrupted transport in many parts of the country.

Within days the prices of cereals, pulses, fruits & vegetables all increased by + 15% to + 50%.The wholesale market in Delhi, the capital of the country, receiving shipments from all regions recorded a significant drop in traffic.

Thus, only 5 trucks against 12-15 trucks per day have supplied the capital with fresh products from Rajasthan.
