Nuts are sold at golden price
FJ
Well, almost ... 1 kg of nuts costs a little less than a gram of gold.
Soaring price of nuts for a few weeks. In some outlets in large cities, the price reached 2,400 RS (30.95 euros) per 1 kg of nuts , which is just slightly less than the price of a gram of gold.
This explosion in prices can be explained by a decrease in production, heavy rains and floods destroyed part of the harvest, which was unfortunately accompanied by a strong demand in the country, coinciding with the start of the holiday season. These festivities, according to Indian professionals are always a factors of the overall increase for all dry fruits (almonds, raisins , pistachios, dry coconuts).
Now, only import products such as walnuts in particular, can stop this spiraling and bring prices to their normal levels.
