One of such companies is MORANDO GROUP, is headquartered in the city of Verona in the North of Italy, which in one of the most important areas for the production of apples, pears, kiwis, peaches, nectarines, cherries and plums. MORANDO group company has been exporting fruit and vegetables since 1965 all over the world.
General Manager of MORANDO Group Mrs Katia Morando says: “This apples season shows the growing of the South Asian markets with the requirement of red apples. She also adds: “On this markets, where Italian apples has to compete with USA apples, what make the difference over the price – is the quality. As a result, this year we are very satisfied of Italian quality apples that allows us to export overseas, even to the most distant countries.”
As for the Middle East market, Mrs Morando said that “its answer to the Italian prices was a little more difficult, because local prices are in continuous fluctuation.” MORANDO Trading Srl has exhibited in WOP Dubai in November and will exhibit in Berlin Fruit Logistica show in February.
