Subsidy reform proposal approved

The special agricultural committee of the European Union which is formed by the member states and the European Commission has approved the reforms of the Common Market Organisation (CMO) for bananas. This makes a budget available of 280 mln. Euro, of which 141 mln. is destined for the Canary banana sector. This support will be distributed through the POSEI program.
