Between January and June 2023, Peruvian banana exports showed a sharp decline, if compared to the same lapse in 2022, according to Agrodata Perú.

 

During the first 6 months of the ongoing year, the country exported 77.082.852 kilos of the fruit, worth $58.337.981.

 

In the same term of 2022, Peru shipped 93.146.648 kilos of bananas, for a total value of $67.718.859

 

The main recipients until June 2023 were the Netherlands (30% of total value), Belgium (14%), United States (14%), Panama (13%), Italy (8%), Korea (6%), Germany (5%), Japan (5%), and others.
