Production of passion fruit seems to be a good support for the agriculture of Kenya and a source of income for farmers. With adequate moisture, the first crop is harvested within six months.
The study, conducted by the Agricultural Sector Programme Support (ASPS) and Agriculture Business Development (ABD), found that there are over 3,800 passion fruit farmers with 707,114 stems planted on 425 hectares in the two districts.
The production is of 8,200 metric tons.
