Value of Peruvian fig exports exceeds $1.7 million in the first half of 2023

According to Agrodata Peru, in the first six months of 2023, Peru exported 273,725 kilos of figs, generating income worth $1,741,359. These figures are contrasted with the data from the previous year, when 452,273 kilos of figs were exported, for $2,304,101.

 

Regarding the destinations of Peruvian fig exports during the first half of 2023, the main market was the United States, which accounted for 40% of the total shipments, achieving placements for $687,870. It is followed by the Netherlands with $347,082, the United Kingdom with $280,417 and Canada with $131,905, among other countries that received smaller amounts of figs.
