Green light to Panamanian pineapples in Israel

Panama exported pineapple to Israel for the first time. The HBM Global Trading Corp. organized this shipment under the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed with Israel.

The HBM achieved a strong local strategic partner, Sasson & Associates, which imported the fruit. Sasson & Associates is part of the Tnuva Group, one of the biggest food companies in Israel.

The cargo included 525 boxes of fresh, ready-to-eat MD2 pineapples by Prilatino brand.

After more than a year of work, the export was achieved due to the efforts of the private sector and inter-institutional collaboration, according to Eric Dormoi, the National Director of Export Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries (MICI).
