Avocado production in Israel set to reach record levels this year

In Israel, the Ministry of Agriculture is forecasting a 2024 harvest of around 250,000 tonnes of avocados. This represents an increase of 19.05% on the previous record of 210,000 tonnes in 2022 (Photo: israelagri.com).
Despite the conflict in Gaza and its various repercussions on agriculture, a record level of avocado production is expected in Israel this year.
In Israel, the Ministry of Agriculture is forecasting a 2024 harvest of around 250,000 tonnes of avocados.
This represents an increase of 19.05% on the previous record of 210,000 tonnes in 2022, and an increase of 66.67% on the 150,000 tonnes produced in previous years.
Most of the volume produced, around 55%, is destined for the domestic market.
