In France, leek production for the 2023-24 campaign (May 2023 to April 2024) should record good results.
A publication of Agreste Conjoncture, issued by the French Ministry of Agriculture, announces that French leek production for 2023-24 (May 2023 to April 2024), based on data as of March 1, 2024, is estimated at 172,700 tonnes.
This represents +11% on the 2022-23 campaign and +3% on the average of the last 5 campaigns.
For the 2023-24 campaign, the area planted with leeks will be 5,352 hectares. This is virtually unchanged from the previous season, and -4% below the average for the last 5 seasons.
