Kiwi: harvests have begun

In New Zealand the kiwifruit season has just started, with the harvests that began in the Western Bay of Plenty, Te Puke and Whakamarama.

 

 

 

Harvests begin with the Gold variety, green kiwis will be harvested soon after. Volumes will increase by the end of March and the peak of the harvest will continue until June.

 

 

 

The sector estimates that this year's harvest will total 150 million plateaus nationally. The quality of the fruits is considered excellent and the caliber of the fruits very satisfactory.
