GreenTech Americas 2026 drives sustainable horticulture in Mexico
GreenTech Americas is set to take place from 24-26 March at the Querétaro Centro de Congresos in Mexico, a country with 51,850 ha of protected agriculture.
This 2026 edition expects a be larger attendance of 5,800 horticulture professionals and 230 exhibitors. The event is unique because this is the only event specialized in the controlled environment production of high value crops in Latin America. It will once again attract growers, suppliers, investors and other industry experts from across Americas. The 3-day program is all about exploring innovations, trends, and solutions that drive sustainable and efficient production.
Leading platform for controlled environment
GreenTech Americas 2026 stands as the leading platform for controlled-environment agriculture in Mexico and the Americas, offering an exhibition floor with cutting-edge technologies, a high-level conference program, and technical sessions at the GreenTech Stage. Protected agriculture in Mexico now spans over 51,850 hectares, producing 1.38 million tonnes of crops valued at USD 3.5 billion. The northeast region alone grew to 6,114 hectares in 2023, adding more than 2,100 hectares year-on-year (SIAP). This sector drives rural prosperity and global trade. In 2024, Mexico exported fruits and vegetables worth USD 20.25 billion, including tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and lettuce, many grown under protected systems (SADER) which also reflects the sector’s rapid growth.

Opening ceremony on Tuesday, 24 March, with a new stage for the “Innovation Award GreenTech Americas 2026”; Workshops and conferences focusing on the overall congress theme: “From the greenhouse to the global market: Innovation and talent facing North America's new trade challenges”; Power Day on Wednesday, 25 March with focus on the theme "People first: Your people, your greatest asset.
