Representatives of this group explained that it is currently palm oil, (poor dietary quality,) which is mainly used in this country and they want to familiarize the consumer of Myanmar with olive oil.
During the 2014/15 season, Turkey exported product with a value of about 90,000 US dollars but, as highlighted by the Chairman of the Governing Board of Aegean Exporters of olives and olive oil, this country is a virgin market of 50 million people which can have excellent trade opportunities.
The visit of this delegation should be only the start of commercial relations between Turkey and Myanmar, which will be intensified by a series of Turkish promotion activities.
