The supermarket chain will soon begin stocking exotic produce such as plantains, chow chow and dudhi across Britain.
Tesco, International Supermarket News reports, says the move is a response to shopping trends as consumers are no longer satisfied with traditional groceries such as potatoes, carrots and peas.
The popularity of holidays to far-away locations has also had an effect, it said, alongside large ethnic communities in certain areas.
