MIPAAF, the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, announced the successful completion of the agreement for grape exports to Canada.
Exports of Italian table grapes were blocked since 2010. The agreement follows the success of evaluations conducted by the phytosanitary experts sent by the Canadian government in October 2015 in the main producing areas of table grapes (Basilicata, Puglia, Sicilia ).
The producers interested in exporting their grapes in Canada can take the necessary steps.
This success is the result of close cooperation between producer organizations and relevant regional institutions. The satisfaction is great for the area hoping to find interesting opportunities in this new market.
