Salmonella warning issued in Texas after contaminated cucumbers detected
VU
Public warned to discard cucumbers sold in early June.
Fuentes Farms LLC (McAllen, Texas, United States) has recalled 71 boxes of fresh cucumbers (lot #357) due to Salmonella contamination. The affected cucumbers were sold between May 31 and June 3, 2025, primarily at flea markets in McAllen and Alamo, Texas.
Routine testing detected the bacteria; distribution has been halted. The recall is not linked to the recent multistate outbreak tied to Bedner Growers Inc.
Consumers are advised to stop using, dispose of, or return the product, and sanitize any surfaces the cucumbers may have touched.
Anyone showing symptoms such as diarrhoea, fever, or cramps should seek medical attention.
