Provence - cold weather to delay harvest
France
Wednesday 27 April 2005
A cold snap at the beginning of April will delay the harvest of fruit and veg in the Provence region of France.
Vegetables (carrots, turnips and other summer vegetables) will be around 15 days later than usual, with cherries expected to be up to 20 days late.
Elsewhere, we are informed that the apricot season this year looks promising.
