BelOrta sells 9 million kg / year of strawberries

The first strawberries of the season were sold on March 16 ( set of 8 strawberry punnets of 500 gr ) .Since then, the new season has started and volumes have increased markedly. 

The BelOrta cooperatives sell 9 million pounds of strawberries per year.

For the 2015 season, no major changes in the region : 60 % of the area under protection concerns strawberry crops (greenhouses, tunnels ) and 40% relates to outdoor crops.
