Indonesia and Thailand will work together to develop postharvest technology for fruit, this cooperation will begin with research on mangoes.
Post-harvest technology is a major issue for these two fruit-producing countries and they want to increase their exports. The first stages of research will concern mangoes, as these tropical fruits benefit from a constantly increasing demand on international markets.
Among the subjects studied, special compounds based on wax and honey to coat the fruits. This cooperation will bring improvements for both countries and opportunities to export even more mangoes.
