Shanghai looks after the supply for the universal exhibition

200 tons of fruits and vegetables will be every day consumed on the the Universal Exhibition of Shanghai.
The 1st of May will begin the Universal Exhibition of Shanghai which should receive about 70 million visitors during 184 days.
Food offer will be varied and the Chinese authorities strengthened the security checks for fruits and vegetables, to try to make forgotten the last food scandals which shook the country.
"Besides the examination of safety by the producers of vegetables, we began to lead another series of controls to be assured that vegetables are fresh and without danger" declared Chen Jun, director of the quality management office in the wholesale market of Jiangqiao Shanghai, which is supplier of fruits and vegetables of the exhibition.
The market signed a contract with 40 exploitations through China for the supply in biological vegetables. A system of traceability was also set up for all the fresh products intended for the exhibition.
We consider that the consumption on the park, including visitors and staff, will reach at least 200 tons of fruits and vegetables of 175 varieties every day.
