Income from onion exports falls 12.7% in the 2021/2022 campaign

Peruvian onion exports in the 2021/2022 campaign decreased -3.26% in volume, totaling 284,511,373 kilos, while the value decreased -12.73%, totaling $95,244,466, according to the consulting firm Inform@cción.
Source points out that last season Peru exported 294,090,998 kilos for $109,135,336 of this crop.
The main destination markets this last campaign were North America, with 162,272,008 kilos for $63,401,909, Latin America, with 80,418,300 kilos for $14,928,719, and Europe with 41,821,064 kilos for $16,913,837.
So far in the 2022/23 campaign, onion shipments have reached 12,825,756 kilos for $3,098,238: North America with 633,159 kilos for $271,633, Latin America with 12,144,017 kilos for $2,569,824, Europe with 48,579 kilos for $256,779.
