Potato prices in Spain soar 111.6% in summer 2024

The average price of potato in Spain has registered an increase of 111.6% at origin this summer, compared to the average of the last five years, due to the reduction of domestic production and the decrease of French potato imports. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the price reached 0.58 €/kg in August, reflecting an upward trend since the beginning of the season.
