The results of the export of fresh fruit in Argentina in the first three months of 2007

During the first trimester of 2007 the exports of fresh fruit controlled by the National Service of Health and Quality Alimentary (SENASA) were 474.804 tons and 296.360.000 dollars of exported value, showing an increase of the 32% value of exported fruit and 21% in volume with the comparison to the shipments of 2006 that reached 393.076 tons of fruit ad 224.943.000 dollars of exported value.
The exports of nugget fruits reached 363.726 tons and 199.845.000 dollars of exported value what means an increase of the 25% value of exported fresh produce and 40% in volume compared with the previous year.
The export of apples reached 107.301 tons and 56.611.000 dollars in value of fresh produce what means an increase of 65% in exported value of fresh apples and 51% in volume with respect to the period of time January-March of 2006.
Pears registered an increase of 32% in exported value of fresh fruit and 17% in volume with shipments at the level of 256.397 tons and 143.219.000 dollars.
The main export markets for Argentine apples were: Russia 16.988 tons, Holland 16.509 tons, Algeria 12.577, Belgium 10.211 tons, Brazil 9.674 tons, Spain 6.709 tons and Sweden 6.126 tons.
As refers to pears export, main destinations were: Russia 51.099 tons, Italy 46.823 tons, The United States 40.504 tons, Brazil 33.753 tons, Holland 24.845 tons, and Belgium 16.818 tons among others.
