McCormick to close US production site

US herbs and spices manufacturer McCormick has announce that it will close it manufacturing facility in Salinas, California and moving production to other existing North American manufacturing facilities by the end of 2006.
As a result, 400 jobs are expected to be lost.
McCormick also announced the closure of its condiment manufacturing facility in Hunt Valley, Maryland, and the transfer of condiment manufacturing to its plant in Indiana.
Both closures are expected to take place by the end of 2006.
