20% drop in apple production

The 2001/2002 campaign records about 2.1 million apples. This drop seems to be due to low temperatures and summer hail during the ripening period. The most affected varieties are the red ones (Stark and Red Delicious) whereas a production rise is expected for the new ones such as Fuji, Braeburn and Gala.
